PON Protocols

  There are several PON protocols and standards defined by the ITU organisation with varying levels of maturity. The three main ones which are BPON, EPON and GPON.

  This are two striking superstar PON standards in our FTTH solution area, one is Gigabit PON (GPON) standard formulated from the ITU/FSAN, and the other is Ethernet PON (EPON) standards developed by the IEEE 802.3ah working group.
